Your privacy at LookCue
How LookCue handles the photos and information you choose to share.

What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how LookCue handles information when you use the app, our comparison service, and our support contact.
What LookCue does
LookCue helps you compare a reference makeup look with your own attempt and gives AI-generated makeup guidance. You do not need to create a LookCue account to use the app.
Photos and image processing
You choose the photos used for a comparison from your photo library or camera. LookCue prepares those selected images and sends them to the LookCue comparison service.
The comparison service sends the selected image data and limited comparison context to OpenAI to generate the makeup comparison or progress guidance. The guidance is intended to assess visible makeup in the selected images, not to identify you or judge your appearance.
How we use photos
We use selected photos to run the comparison or progress check you ask for, return your result, and operate and protect the service. We do not sell your photos.
The current LookCue application code does not include a service that saves comparison images to a LookCue cloud history or image database. Photos still leave your device for the requested comparison, and OpenAI or other infrastructure providers may handle submitted data under their own terms and policies.
Information processed automatically
To operate and protect the comparison service, technical information may be processed, including request identifiers, request paths without query strings, response status, timing, model name, and error category. The application's structured request logs are not configured to include submitted image data.
The service also uses limited technical information to apply comparison rate limits and prevent misuse. We do not use analytics or ad-tracking code in the current app.
Local app data and Recent Looks
LookCue keeps some app data on your device, including onboarding status, free-preview and retry state, local photo links, and completed Recent Looks. A completed Recent Look can include reference and attempt photo links, the date, similarity band, primary category, and result guidance.
LookCue does not store the original image bytes inside the completed Recent Looks record. Your original photos remain in your Photos library or camera storage unless you remove them there.
Subscriptions and purchases
LookCue Pro subscriptions are processed through Apple and RevenueCat. RevenueCat provides subscription-status and entitlement information so the app can determine whether LookCue Pro is active. Apple manages billing, payment, cancellation, and applicable refunds.
LookCue does not require a LookCue account. Purchase and subscription information is handled by Apple and RevenueCat according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Service providers
We use OpenAI to process selected images and comparison context for AI-generated guidance. We use RevenueCat and Apple for subscription processing and status. Hosting and infrastructure providers may process information needed to run and secure the comparison service.
These providers may process information in places outside your state, province, or country under their own policies and service terms.
Retention and Delete History
Device-local app data remains on your device until it is cleared by the app, you use Delete History, you clear app data, or you remove the app. Provider retention may differ and is governed by the applicable provider's policies.
Delete History removes completed Recent Looks stored by LookCue on this device. It does not delete original photos from your Photos library, change your subscription, reset onboarding, or guarantee deletion from Apple, RevenueCat, OpenAI, or another provider.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures designed to protect information while the service is operating. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
LookCue is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through LookCue, contact us so we can review the request.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when LookCue or applicable requirements change. We will update the Last updated date when we do.
